Job Description:
Senior-level Active Directory Engineer supporting a large financial institution''s enterprise transformation, focused on migrating from legacy on-prem data centers to Azure Cloud + COLO environments. This is a project-driven engineering role (not admin) with strong emphasis on hybrid identity (AD + Entra ID) and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Active Directory engineering and migration efforts (on-prem → Azure/Entra/O365)
• Design and support hybrid identity solutions
• Manage AD infrastructure components (GPO, DNS, ADFS, AD Connect, Domain Controllers)
• Develop PowerShell automation scripts
• Create architecture documentation, SOPs, workflows, and diagrams (critical)
• Partner with engineering teams + business stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical work

Must-Have Skills

• Active Directory engineering (not just admin)
• Azure AD / Entra ID (hybrid environment)
• Migration experience (on-prem → cloud)
• PowerShell scripting (5+ years)
• Windows Server, GPO, DNS, ADFS, AD Connect
• Strong documentation & process standardization

Nice-to-Haves

• IAM / Identity Access Management
• Terraform / Ansible
• RBAC / security-focused identity work
• Financial services experience
