Your New Role

• Diagnose HVAC and air conditioning system performance using proper testing procedures, gauges, meters, and diagnostic equipment

• Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical, and related mechanical components within the scope of the position

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine HVAC service

• Disassemble and reassemble HVAC equipment as necessary for diagnostics and repairs

• Assist with or perform HVAC system and equipment installations based on experience and job requirements

• Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, and measuring instruments safely and effectively

• Read and interpret equipment specifications, schematics, and technical documentation

• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate service solutions based on system condition

• Communicate completed work and service findings clearly and professionally

• Complete work orders, service documentation, and other required job records accurately

• Follow company safety procedures and applicable HVAC codes and standards

• Operate company vehicles safely when required for assigned service work

• Work independently in the field while maintaining communication with supervisors and team members

• Serve customers throughout San Antonio, TX and surrounding service areas

• Minimum 3 years of professional HVAC service experience required

• Demonstrated experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems

• Working knowledge of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical controls, and mechanical systems relevant to HVAC service

• Ability to competently use HVAC gauges, meters, diagnostic instruments, hand tools, and power tools

• Ability to read schematics, equipment documentation, and technical specifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage field service responsibilities without constant supervision

• Professional communication skills when working with customers, supervisors, and coworkers

• Ability to accurately complete work orders and service documentation

• Ability to follow established safety procedures and applicable codes

• Valid driver\'s license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle when required

• EPA certification preferred

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

• Ability to perform the physical functions commonly required of an HVAC Service Technician, including working from ladders, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling tools and equipment, and working in indoor and outdoor environments
