Type: 6+ month Contract
Pay: 25.hr - 30.hr
Position Overview- This role oversees the acquisition, distribution, and tracking of project materials to ensure availability aligns with customer schedules and operational needs. The planner works closely with supply chain partners, construction teams, and field personnel to minimize delays, optimize resource distribution, and support seamless project execution.
- The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, highly communicative, and excels at building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterials & Field Support- Manage procurement, expediting, and receipt of equipment and materials for assigned transmission, substation, and wind-generation projects.
- Release project materials as requested by field teams and manage planning-related requests within the local area.
- Perform project look-aheads to verify material availability and coordinate with sourcing when additional orders are needed.
Project Coordination- Facilitate Transmission/Substation field activities using established company procedures, processes, and practices.
- Coordinate with Area Operations, Construction, Maintenance, Safety & Environmental, Power Delivery Management, and third-party stakeholders.
- Track project deliverables and milestones including engineering updates, construction progress, outages, clearances, and database accuracy.
- Support project status reports, metrics, and corporate reporting initiatives.
Outage & Maintenance Planning- Assist with cost and schedule estimating for maintenance and outage-related activities.
- Administer procurement contracts and maintain documentation to support outage execution.
- Coordinate planning activities to ensure work continuity and efficiency.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, engineering, analytics, and fleet execution teams to support continuous improvement.
Process Improvement- Support process standardization, problem solving, and team engagement to streamline activities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of planning or procurement experience
Preferred Qualifications- Associate's degree or technical education (preferred but not required)
