Scrum Master

Scrum Master Location: Lower Manhattan, New York, NY (hybrid, onsite 3 days per week)

About the Role

We re seeking a Scrum Master to keep our network and infrastructure initiatives on track and moving. You ll run daily stand-ups with engineers, consultants, and initiative leads, make sure weekly commitments are being delivered, and surface blockers quickly to the right level of leadership. This is a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and the path isn t always clear, so we re looking for someone who is comfortable working through ambiguity and can follow technical conversations well enough to know what s happening and what s at risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily stand-ups to gather status and key updates from engineers, consultants, and initiative leads
• Confirm that team members are on track and delivering against weekly commitments
• Identify engineers who are blocked, off track, or without clear work, and escalate appropriately: first to the initiative lead, then to the product owner
• Summarize and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders clearly and concisely
• Drive Agile adoption and consistent use of Jira across teams
• Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Partner with initiative leads and product owners to keep priorities and backlogs clear
• Promote continuous improvement and healthy team dynamics

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or technical project manager
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to unclear or changing situations
• Enough technical fluency to follow daily engineering discussions and understand, at its core, what the engineers are working on
• Strong Scrum and Agile knowledge, with hands-on Jira experience
• Clear, concise communication with both technical teams and senior leadership
• Comfort interfacing directly with engineers and holding teams accountable
• Ability to work onsite in our Lower Manhattan office 3 days per week

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in banking or financial services
• Background in networking or infrastructure (e.g., routing, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, data center, SD-WAN, cloud)
• Experience as a technical PM transitioning into an Agile or Scrum Master role
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)

Familiarity with hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery, change management, or ITILFe)
