Senior Design Technologist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Senior Design Technologist to join their team in San Diego, CA.

Overview:
Design Technologists on the VEP Design team inspire others through provocations and ideal state prototypes that leverage the latest technical capabilities. We focus on future expert experiences as well as internal tools that enable our partners to prototype current experiences. We use technical skills to elevate design through prototyping, motion design, and developing new tools to bridge the gaps between design and engineering. As a Design Technologist, you will work closely with Visual, Product, and Interaction Designers to help prototype what the future looks like for the clients Expert Portal.

Responsibilities:
You will:
* Inspire and influence others to aim for bigger, bolder, and smarter designs
* Develop functional prototypes to prove out concepts, test with users, and influence development teams and senior leadership
* Focus on customer-centered design and deeply understand users' context and needs
* Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers in a highly interactive, experiment-driven development environment
* Tackle challenging problems independently, and bring the team along on your journey through excellent communication and presentation skills

REQUIREMENTS:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
* 4+ years of experience in design technology, UX engineering, web development, or related fields
* Demonstrated ability to lead major prototyping and proof-of-concept efforts within an organization
* Technical Design Principles: Expertise in creating comprehensive solutions that demonstrate refined technical design principles
* Broad Integration: Ability to craft proofs-of-concept that integrate complex technologies like AI/ML and real datasets
* AI/ML & Data: Deep understanding of AI concepts and personalized user experiences
* Generative AI: Proficient in utilizing Generative AI tools to produce code, content, or motion
* Narrative Storytelling: Uses robust storytelling skills to create compelling technology narratives that inspire and drive collective vision within the organization
* Large-Scale Solutions: Builds scalable solutions to address business problems across mobile and web platforms in collaboration with engineering and data science teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
