Hardware Compliance/Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product compliance testing and certification processes: FCC, CE, IC, NOM, etc. for both US and international markets
• Perform detailed, extensive EVT, DVT and PVT of complex boards and systems in both the RF and digital domains
• Generate clear, complete, concise documentation of all DVT work performed
• Debug of complex RF and digital circuits
• Assembly of engineering prototypes
• Design and development of test fixtures to assist in NPI activities
• Drive HALT, HASS, RDT and MTBF characterization of products
• Assist in component evaluation and qualification
• Assist in a wide variety of NPI lab activities, including purchasing of equipment and lab supplies, ensuring equipment is calibrated and operational, assembly and disassembly of test setups, etc.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or 2-year associate’s degree
• Experience with hardware test and validation experience, preferably of microwave and/or mmWave radios
• Experience with US compliance testing of wireless radios and the certification process a plus
• Ability to debug both RF and digital circuits
• Expertise with lab equipment for electrical circuit characterization and debug (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, network analyzers)
• Expertise in soldering and ability to perform electrical rework on dense SMT boards (e.g., rework of 0201 SMT components)
• Experience with a Python a plus
