Summary

Requirements

7 or more years of experience in enterprise Microsoft SQL Server database administration across production environments.
Proficiency in Azure SQL database deployment, security configuration, and cloud migration architectures.
Experience with SQL Server High Availability (HA), Always On Availability Groups, and disaster recovery strategies.
Experience in logical and physical data modeling, schema design, normalization, and data dictionary maintenance.
Experience with database performance monitoring, index optimization, execution plan tuning, and health checks.
Experience in enterprise data warehouse environments, ETL data pipelines, and Power BI administration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain, secure, and monitor high-availability production SQL Server instances and Azure SQL databases.
Execute end-to-end migrations of legacy on-premises database workloads into target Azure SQL environments.
Conduct systematic database health checks to optimize query performance, indexing, and resource allocation.
Design, develop, and maintain normalized logical and physical data schemas based on technical requirements.
Build and optimize automated data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and validation routines for data migrations.
Deploy schema alterations, version upgrades, and maintenance service packs across testing and production tiers.
Support data warehouse architectures, data marts, and business intelligence reporting feeds in Power BI.
