Legal Product Owner Rights & Contract Management (Apple TV Legal Systems) - 67459

Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hr

We have an immediate need for a Legal Product Owner based in Los Angeles, CA, USA. This role supports a high-visibility legal technology initiative and works closely with business and engineering teams to deliver and evolve enterprise-grade rights and contract management solutions for Apple.

In this role, you will lead the implementation and ongoing stewardship of a rights and contract management system supporting Apple TV's Legal department. You will serve as the primary liaison between Legal stakeholders and the development team, translating complex business requirements into clear product features and user stories. You will own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, plan and coordinate releases, manage sprint-level adjustments, and ensure smooth deployment of new features and system enhancements. The role also involves managing existing rights management, contract management, and document workflow systems, conducting UAT and sprint demos, training end users, and defining error-handling and operational guidelines. You will collaborate daily with developers, designers, and stakeholders, while also evaluating strategic options and recommending both short-term and long-term product strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or Senior Business Analyst working with Agile delivery teams. You should have deep exposure to enterprise software design, development, and deployment, along with hands-on experience managing intellectual property rights data such as rights in/out, restrictions, options, holdbacks, music clearance, and play-off or sell-off attributes. Experience implementing or working with rights or licensing systems that support complex rights research is essential. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are critical, as is the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with rights management platforms, GenAI-enabled tools, and global business process understanding is highly desirable.
