Position:QA Automation Engineer

Duration:8 Months (Contract)
Location:HYBRID - DENVER, CO 80290
Pay Rate:$65.00 (W2 only) or $74.00 (INCORPORATED), (Not accepting 1099 or C2C)
HYBRID: Must work ONSITE one day per week (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - NOT considering candidates willing to relocate)
HOURS: MON-FRI 8am - 5:00pm (MST)
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of relevant quality assurance/automated testing experience
Strong foundational knowledge of MANUAL TESTING principles, including test case design, types of testing (functional, regression, API, performance), and defect management.
The technical skill to write, run, and maintain AUTOMATED test scripts (Playwright, TypeScript, Java, k6, MCP, AI-assisted testing, and others).
Competency with test management tools (Zephyr Scale, GitLab, etc.) for logging bugs and tracking test progress.
Knowledge of various database systems, including relational databases and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in using developer tools, reading error logs, and tracing the source of an issue to provide detailed information to developers (Google DevTools, application logs, HTTP requests/responses, stack traces, heap dumps, etc.).
Experience with specialized test data management and data governance platforms.
Ability to analyze test requirements and profile existing production data.
Ability to systematically break down complex processes, identify bottlenecks, waste, and variation, and then develop innovative, data-driven solutions is a core skill.
Ability to execute predefined test cases and also perform unscripted exploratory testing.
Proficiency in translating high-level business and functional requirements into detailed, efficient, and comprehensive test cases.
Knowledge of industry-wide quality assurance measures, testing standards, and current best practices.
Knowledge of identifying potential quality risks, assessing their impact and likelihood, and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
The ability to be proactive in identifying potential issues early in the development lifecycle rather than reactively finding them later.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with software engineers, system personnel, and management.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
Attends meetings and training as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Meticulous attention to detail is critical.
The ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
