Job Summary

Our client is seeking a strong and experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and manage SAP implementation programs from planning through successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing standard SAP implementation programs, with strong functional exposure to SAP Finance and SAP Production Planning (PP).

This role requires an experienced program leader who can manage multiple workstreams, coordinate cross-functional teams, drive project milestones, and ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end SAP implementation programs, including planning, execution, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Manage multiple SAP workstreams and coordinate with functional, technical, business, and external implementation teams.
• Provide strong program management leadership across SAP Finance and SAP PP workstreams.
• Partner with business stakeholders and SAP functional leads to define requirements, priorities, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Lead project status meetings and provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across business and technology teams.
• Manage system integration, testing, data migration, cutover, and go-live activities.
• Drive issue resolution and escalate critical risks or decisions when required.
• Ensure SAP implementation activities follow established methodologies, standards, and governance processes.
• Coordinate with SAP implementation partners, vendors, and internal teams.
• Provide strong leadership throughout the complete SAP implementation lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SAP Project Manager, SAP Program Manager, or SAP Delivery Manager.
• Strong experience managing SAP implementation programs.
• Hands-on program/project management experience within SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance (FI/FICO).
• Strong understanding of SAP Production Planning (PP).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, cross-functional SAP programs.
• Strong experience with project planning, governance, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience with both SAP Finance and SAP PP workstreams.
• Experience managing global or enterprise-wide SAP transformation programs.
• Experience working with SAP implementation partners/system integrators.
• PMP, SAP, or other relevant project/program management certification is a plus.
• Candidates located in or around Boston, MA are strongly preferred.
