A bit about us:This position is for a well-established mid-sized litigation firm with a highly sophisticated construction defect practice focused on representing architects, engineers, and design professionals.
This is not a high-volume insurance defense shop. The work is complex and technical, often involving large-scale commercial projects with significant exposure.

Job DetailsJob Details
- Handle complex construction defect and construction litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Represent architects, engineers, and other design professionals in high-exposure claims
- Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Work closely with expert witnesses, consultants, and technical professionals on case development
- Analyze contracts, project documents, and technical reports related to construction issues
- Participate in case strategy, client communication, and reporting to sophisticated commercial clients and carriers
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as needed
- Collaborate directly with partners on complex, high-value commercial matters
- Maintain a high level of organization and ownership over assigned caseload
What You Bring
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar license
- 3+ years of litigation experience (construction defect, professional liability, or insurance defense preferred)
- Experience handling depositions, drafting motions, and managing files independently
- Ability to understand and work through technical construction and design-related issues
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a more sophisticated, expert-driven litigation environment
