Description: Our client is currently seeking a Oracle EPM Freeform technical support specialist
Job Responsibilities: As an Oracle EPM Freeform Technical Support Specialist, you will provide functional and technical leadership to support and enhance Oracle EPM Cloud solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This role partners closely with finance and business stakeholders to ensure stable, scalable, and high-performing planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and support multiple Oracle EPM Freeform and Planning applications, including BSO and ASO cubes, with multi-currency and Workforce functionality.
- Provide day-to-day functional and technical support to business users, ensuring timely issue resolution and effective communication.
- Act as a technical lead for system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation initiatives.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver end-to-end outcomes.
- Manage and coordinate work with third-party vendors and internal technical resources.
- Test and validate monthly Oracle EPM patches in development environments prior to production deployment.
- Log, track, and manage Oracle Support Requests (SRs) through resolution.
- Implement configuration changes and support testing cycles across environments.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot calculation scripts for BSO and ASO cubes, with strong usage of Groovy scripting.
- Support and maintain Narrative Reporting applications, including reports, books, bursting definitions, and scheduled jobs.
- Design and support automated data integrations using EPM Automate, Data Exchange, and REST APIs; FDMEE experience is a plus.
- Support critical finance processes such as month-end close, annual roll-forward, enterprise budgeting, and monthly forecasting cycles.
- Ensure system security, access controls, and audit readiness, including SOX support and evidence collection.
Must Have / Required: Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle EPM solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
Oracle EPM Expertise - Oracle Planning Cloud (Strategic Modeling, Financials, Projects, Capital, Workforce).
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Freeform, including ASO cube development and administration.
- Calculation Manager development and troubleshooting.
- Smart View, Narrative Reporting, and Management Reporting.
- EPM security design and access management.
- Experience testing and deploying monthly Oracle EPM patches.
Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of Groovy scripting.
- Experience with EPM Automate, Data Exchange, REST APIs; FDMEE knowledge preferred.
- Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Financial Management, and Oracle EPM Cloud modules (EPBCS, EMDCS, NR, TRCS).
- Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, Excel, Access, and VBA.
- Base understanding of C# and Python.
- Familiarity with RPA tools (UiPath preferred).
