Summary

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lab IT Support Specialist to provide dedicated technical support within a laboratory setting. This role will partner closely with scientists, vendors, and lab operations teams to ensure reliable performance of lab systems, instruments, and IT infrastructure in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver onsite IT support to scientists, lab staff, and third-party vendors
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to lab instruments, connected devices, and supporting systems
  • Provide support for Windows-based environments, including system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain and support GxP-compliant systems, ensuring adherence to regulatory and documentation standards
  • Coordinate with vendors for installation, upgrades, and issue resolution of lab equipment and software
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance within the lab environment
  • Support user access, system validation activities, and audit readiness in regulated environments
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in accordance with compliance requirements

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a lab IT support role supporting scientists, vendors, and laboratory instruments
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Windows-based environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting GxP systems and working within regulated environments (e.g., FDA, GMP, GLP)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and instrument connectivity
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated lab setting

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with lab applications, instrument integration, and data acquisition systems
  • Understanding of compliance, validation, and change control processes
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
