Duluth, GA - Remote
Base year Dec 1, 2026 to Nov 30, 2027, plus up to four option years through Nov 30, 2031
About 270 hours in the base year and about 220 hours a year after that, in a predictable quarterly cycle, plus occasional optional tasks
Minimum qualifications (PBrequirements):
• At least 15 years of experience in roles of increasing complexity and seniority in statistical sampling, design and evaluation, including proposing and developing sampling methodologies.
• Experience testifying as an expert witness. Please list the matters, the courts or agencies, and the years.
• Eligible for a PBPublic Trust background investigation and fitness determination. U.S.-based; U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence preferred.
• Education and employment history that can be independently verified, as PB52.237-7001 requires.
Preferred qualifications
• PhD or other advanced degree in statistics, mathematics or a closely related field. PBprefers this but does not require it.
• Audit or compliance sampling experience, such as benefit, claims, payment-error, OIG or financial audit sampling.
• Familiarity with ERISA, defined benefit pension plans, actuarial benefit calculations, or PB standard termination and multiemployer programs.
• Proficiency in SAS, R or Python; design-based estimation and variance (stratified, cluster and ratio estimators); exact intervals for rare events; discovery and attribute acceptance sampling.
• Clear technical writing for non-statisticians and for court.
