Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with strong expertise in heavy industry and CNC machined components.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in CMM programming, GD&T interpretation, and precision inspection within manufacturing environments.
This role requires onsite presence from Day One in Lafayette, IN.
Must-Have Skills
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer in heavy industry or manufacturing environments.
- Strong proficiency in PC-DMIS and Calypso.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience working with CNC machining processes and tolerance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CMM programs for complex CNC machined components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate inspection.
- Set up and calibrate CMM equipment.
- Perform detailed dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
- Analyze inspection data and generate reports.
- Document findings and maintain quality records.
- Collaborate with CNC operators, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming and measurement issues.
Education Requirement
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing preferred).
