IBM MQ Middleware Messaging Engineer

Role: Lead IBM MQ Middleware Messaging Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX. Hybrid framework requiring strict 3 days/week on-site

Duration: 12+ Month Long-Term Enterprise Contract

Core Mandate: End-to-end administration, security patching, object orchestration, and modern automated deployment architecture utilizing declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.

Job Description:

·        11+ years of enterprise-scale IBM MQ messaging architecture mastery combined with 7 years of pure production-level Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment modeling utilizing Terraform and Ansible Automation Frameworks.

·        Messaging Architecture Competence: Advanced administration of distributed Queue Managers, Local/Remote/Alias/Model queues, complex channel clustering topologies, transactional Pub/Sub architectures, and MQ Advanced Message Security (AMS) implementations.

·        IaC Automation Engine Footprint: 6+ years writing production-grade Ansible playbooks, roles, and dynamic inventory structures to drive automated rolling fix-pack patches, version upgrades (v9.x to v9.3/9.4), and configurations across multi-platform node clusters.

·        Scripting & OS Interoperation: Mastery of enterprise Linux/Unix administrative runtimes, backed by extensive custom Python and Bash script automation pipelines managing runtime state telemetry and proactive log alert monitors.
