Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL applications.
• Develop high-performance Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, Triggers, Cursors, Views, Materialized Views, and Sequences.
• Write efficient SQL queries for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using Explain Plan, SQL Trace, TKPROF, AWR, and Oracle tuning techniques.
• Optimize database performance through indexing strategies, partitioning, and query rewriting.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data migration and transformation.
• Build reusable database components following coding standards and best practices.
• Work with Oracle Forms, Reports, and Oracle APEX applications when required.
• Design normalized and denormalized database models.
• Develop data validation, auditing, logging, and exception-handling mechanisms.
• Implement database security using roles, privileges, encryption, and auditing.
• Participate in database release management and deployment activities.
• Support production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and application developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Create technical design documents and database documentation.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and high availability of Oracle databases.
• Work with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Azure DevOps.
• Support cloud-based Oracle database environments when applicable.
