Job Description
This role supports a missioncritical, highly funded EDI platform migration that directly impacts product movement and revenue. The Sr. EDI Specialist will be dedicated exclusively to executing a Lift & Shift EDI migration within CIMS, moving existing EDI integrations off TrustedLink and onto ITSA and IBM Sterling Integrator (SI).
This is not a production support or enhancement role. The focus is on speed, accuracy, and continuity of productdriven EDI transactions during a largescale platform transition.
Position Description
- Execute endtoend EDI Lift & Shift migrations for product transactions with minimal transformation
- Migrate existing EDI maps, trading partner connections, and workflows from TrustedLink to ITSA and IBM Sterling Integrator (SI)
- Ensure uninterrupted flow of productrelated EDI transactions throughout migration and cutover activities
- Analyze existing EDI assets (maps, connections, protocols, certificates) and rebuild them in Sterling Integrator
- Perform parallel testing, validation, and controlled production cutovers
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and external trading partners to support migration timelines
- Manage AS2, SFTP, and VAN connectivity during migration windows
- Troubleshoot migrationrelated issues across mapping, transport, and integration layers
- Create and maintain migration documentation, validation results, and cutover artifacts
- Represent the EDI migration team in project planning and execution sessions
- Operate independently in a highvisibility, highpressure migration environment
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of handson EDI experience with a strong focus on platform migrations
Required Skills
- Proven experience executing EDI Lift & Shift migrations
- Strong expertise with IBM Sterling Integrator (SI)
- Experience migrating off legacy EDI platforms (TrustedLink strongly preferred)
- Deep knowledge of EDI mapping and B2B integrations
- Trading partner setup and migration using AS2, VAN, and SFTP
- Experience with productcentric EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 867, 844)
- Troubleshooting, analytical, and criticalthinking skills
- Strong communication skills in crossfunctional migration efforts
- Ability to manage multiple migration activities with minimal oversight
Critical Skills
- EDI system experience focused on distribution and product transactions
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator BP Modeler and mappers
- Experience with SI mapper and ITXA mapper
- AS/400 and DB2 exposure
- CL programming
- Secure data transmission and EDI encryption
- Working understanding of EDI terminology and transaction lifecycles
- Experience leading or owning EDI migration workstreams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a migration team
Additional Knowledge & Skills (Preferred)
- Prior CIMS experience
- Experience migrating EDI in large enterprise or healthcare environments
- Distribution or supplychain experience
- SQL (Oracle and/or DB2)
- HL7 experience a plus
- Linux experience a plus
- Projectbased EDI engagement experience
