Summary

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a Metrology Quality Specialist to support precision inspection, measurement programming, and quality documentation. This role requires hands-on experience with PC-DMIS and Hexagon CMM/metrology equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Contract to Hire OR Direct Hire

Responsibilities

Develop, debug, and maintain CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS
Operate Hexagon CMM/metrology equipment to support production, first article, and validation inspections
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and specifications
Perform inspections and communicate results to engineering and production teams
Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation
Support CMM calibration, verification, and gauge R&R studies
Assist with APQP, PPAP, FAI, control plans, and inspection plans
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Analyze inspection data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and supplier quality teams
Support internal and external quality audits as needed

Qualifications

Associate degree or bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS
Experience with Hexagon CMM or Hexagon metrology equipment preferred
Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5
Experience with precision measurement and metrology principles
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models
Working knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement methods
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication skills
