Platform & Authentication Security Manager (RACF / Mainframe Security)

We are seeking a Platform & Authentication Security Manager to lead and evolve our Mainframe (RACF), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Authentication Security programs. This role is highly strategic and leadership-focused, overseeing teams, controls, governance, and long-term security initiatives in a highly regulated environment.

• Candidates must be local to the Jersey City / NYC area

• Some onsite interviews required

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week

This is not a hands-on engineering role-we are looking for a thought leader who can drive programs forward, anticipate risk scenarios, and partner closely with senior leadership and the CISO.

• Lead and manage a team of 3 4+ security professionals, including junior resources

• Mentor, develop, and guide team members toward strategic security objectives

• Ensure team adherence to security policies, procedures, and control frameworks

• Own and drive the platform and authentication security roadmap

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource planning

• Balance long-term strategic goals with short-term tactical improvements

• Research and evaluate emerging security technologies, tools, and standards

• Represent security requirements across enterprise IT and business initiatives

• Oversee Mainframe/RACF security, PAM, and authentication controls

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements

• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and risk reduction

• Design and enhance security controls and systemic frameworks

• Partner with audit, compliance, and risk teams as needed

• 5 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Identity & Access Management, or Platform Security

• Mainframe Security experience (RACF exposure required)

• Privileged Access Management (PAM) experience

• Proven people management experience

• Experience with planning, budgeting, and strategic program ownership

• Strong understanding of authentication tools, protocols, and access controls

• Ability to communicate clearly with senior leadership and respond to complex security scenarios

• Experience working in highly regulated environments

• Financial Services, Healthcare, Consulting, or Professional Services background

• Experience interacting directly with CISOs or executive leadership

• Prior experience in hybrid or onsite leadership roles
