Staff Product Manager - (Remote US) - 1054

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the Buyer Experience product squads within the Inventory group. You'll be responsible for defining the long-term vision, strategy & roadmap for the app and web experiences for buyers shopping for personalizable and custom items on Etsy.

About the role

We're looking for a contractor to lead our Buyer Web & App squads focused on improving the experience for buyers shopping for personalizable and custom items on Etsy. You'll be creating a vision for this important segment of Etsy's inventory and reimagining how we help buyers choose item options and co-create with Etsy sellers when they're shopping for items made just for them.

This is a high-ambiguity, cross-functional role operating in a problem space that is still being defined. You will lead strategy, run experiments, partner closely with research, engineering and design, and work in tight coordination with the seller experience team to deliver best-in-class experiences for this unique segment of Etsy's inventory.

Requirements

10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record operating in ambiguous, multi-platform problem spaces where both the problem and solution space are novel.

Deep experience leading discovery and building consumer-facing shopping experiences, ideally on a two-sided marketplace; familiarity with listing page, cart, and checkout surfaces is a plus.

Proven ability to design and run A/B experiments, including complex multi-sided tests; strong comfort with hypothesis-driven development and measurement design.

Experience shipping product across Web and mobile (iOS/Android), coordinating platform-specific implementations from a single product strategy.

Strong cross-functional leadership skills - you can align engineering, design, analytics, legal, and partner teams around a shared plan without direct authority.

Ability to define strategy and metrics from scratch in a space where KPIs are not yet established and upstream/downstream business drivers are unclear.

Excellent written and verbal communication; you write clear PRDs and concise strategic framing for senior audiences.

Comfortable leading through change and rallying a team when priorities shift or launches surface unexpected challenges.
