About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled
Midrange Storage Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise storage environments across midrange platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for provisioning, performance tuning, capacity planning, incident resolution, and ensuring high availability of storage systems that support critical applications and infrastructure.
This position requires solid technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure, compute, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support midrange storage platforms, including provisioning, configuration, migrations, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Monitor performance, capacity, and health across storage arrays, SAN fabric, and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot storage-related issues and collaborate with server, network, and application teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Execute storage upgrades, firmware patching, and routine maintenance activities.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing for storage environments.
- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
- Support storage automation efforts through scripting and standardized tooling.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support critical events and service outages.
- Ensure adherence to established governance, security controls, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications- Professional experience administering midrange storage systems in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with storage provisioning, volume management, snapshots, replication, and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of SAN technologies, zoning, and fabric management.
- Familiarity with midrange storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, Hitachi, or comparable technologies).
- Solid understanding of Linux and/or Windows server environments.
- Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and reporting.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills- Experience with storage virtualization or software-defined storage solutions.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Commvault, NetBackup, Veeam).
- Familiarity with cloud-based storage concepts (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Understanding of storage security controls, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to capacity planning and performance analytics tools.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.24 - $73.68/hr.
