Summary
- Provide senior-level accounting subject matter expertise related to FASB standards and requirements.
- Support financial system transformation, modernization, and accounting process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze current-state accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate accounting requirements into functional requirements, system specifications, and business processes.
- Review financial processes, controls, reconciliations, reporting requirements, and data flows.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, technology, application, data, and reporting teams.
- Provide guidance on accounting treatment, financial data structures, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in requirements gathering, process mapping, design workshops, and solution reviews.
- Support configuration, development, testing, implementation, and validation of financial systems.
- Review system outputs to ensure they appropriately support accounting requirements.
- Assist with financial data reconciliation, conversion, validation, and testing activities.
- Identify accounting-related risks, gaps, dependencies, and potential impacts.
- Provide subject matter guidance to project managers, functional leads, and technical teams.
- Support documentation, training, user acceptance testing, and organizational readiness activities.
