Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the design, development, modernization, and implementation of enterprise software solutions supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise architecture, cloud-native application development, application integration, API design, and modern software engineering practices.

 

The Software Architect will provide technical leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), define architectural standards and best practices, evaluate emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performing, and maintainable enterprise applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise software architectures.
  • Lead application modernization initiatives by transforming legacy systems into modern cloud-enabled solutions.
  • Design enterprise applications using Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
  • Develop architecture roadmaps, technical strategies, and solution blueprints aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Establish software architecture standards, development guidelines, and coding best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Review technical designs, perform architecture and code reviews, and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Support Agile development methodologies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Technical Estimation, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Cloud and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, accessibility, reliability, scalability, and performance requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and system capabilities.
  • Develop architecture documentation, technical specifications, diagrams, interface designs, and solution documentation.
  • Support system integration across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
  • Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term architectural solutions.
  • Mentor software engineers and technical teams while promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, enterprise application development, or solution architecture.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise-scale software solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with modern software architecture patterns and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices-based applications.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications within AWS environments.
  • Strong experience with Python and Django.
  • Strong Java application development experience.
  • Experience with enterprise application integration and distributed systems.
  • Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of application security, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master''''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience modernizing enterprise legacy applications.
  • Experience implementing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.
  • Experience implementing automated testing and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Experience designing enterprise integration solutions.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as Section 508.
  • Previous experience mentoring software development teams and leading technical initiatives.
