Position Summary

Hayward is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our Commercial Aquatics team. In this role, you will provide technical support for Hayward CAT Controllers and related commercial products, serving as a trusted resource for customers, distributors, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial swimming pool water chemistry, including pH, ORP, and sanitization systems. Prior experience with CAT Controllers or similar automated water chemistry control systems is highly preferred, and CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for Hayward CAT Controllers and other Commercial Aquatics products via phone, email, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot water chemistry issues related to pH, ORP, sanitization, and automated chemical control systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, product resources, and support materials.
  • Support the Commercial Aquatics sales and service teams by providing technical product expertise and field support as needed.
  • Participate in customer site visits, industry conferences, and trade shows.
  • Stay current on industry trends, product developments, and advancements in commercial pool chemistry control technology.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of swimming pool water chemistry, including pH, ORP, sanitization, and other key water balance parameters.
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience with CAT Controllers or similar automated pool water chemistry control systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, trade shows, and technical support.
