Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs
• Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective
• Familiar with industry standard business process mapping and reengineering
• Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs

Assignment Details

The division is requesting to retain this Business Analyst. They will continue to work on TxEVER and exceptional items to ensure continuity of business operations. The contractor will support front line business operations across multiple areas within VSS.

Organizational Context

VSS collects, registers, and amends vital records for legal and administrative purposes, and uses vital records data for mission critical public health purposes. In order to respond to the increased demand for Vital Records through the Texas Electronic Vital Events Registrar (TxEVER) System and continuity of exceptional items, VSS is requesting approval for this current VSS Business Analyst contractor.
