Java Developer (w/ AWS, Banking – Credit card) (Onsite)
Primary Location: Midtown, New York

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Java Developer (w/ AWS, Banking – Credit card) for our premier client in Midtown, New York.

Education and Experience »

10+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8+).
Strong experience building Spring / Spring Boot microservices.
Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch).
Experience developing REST APIs and working with JSON/XML payloads.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean code principles.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, etc.).
Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred/Nice-to-Have:

Experience in financial services, consumer banking, credit cards, or lending platforms.
Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architecture.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk controls in regulated environments.
Prior experience working at JPMorgan Chase or other Tier-1 banks.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices supporting card installments and consumer lending capabilities
Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging modern DevOps and CI/CD practices
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services for high-throughput, low-latency systems
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support activities
Ensure solutions meet JPMC security, risk, compliance, and resiliency standards
Contribute to system scalability, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes in a highly collaborative team environment
