Summary
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across multiple client projects with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance
- Act as a client-facing technical lead in meetings, adapting communication for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and implementation plans
- Support all phases of the development lifecycle from planning through release
- Review code and provide thoughtful feedback to help maintain strong engineering standards
- Create technical documentation, including architecture outlines and solution specifications
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code
- Manage and coordinate software releases
- Explore and apply new technologies that improve delivery and outcomes
- Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge across the team
- 6+ years of hands-on AEM development experience in a professional environment
- 3+ years of experience in technical leadership and team management
- Strong working knowledge of AEM, Java, Sling, OSGi, JCR, and Apache Web Server
- Experience architecting and launching sites using AEM Cloud Service or AEM 6.5
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Solid problem-solving skills and a strong ownership mindset
- Understanding of Agile practices, especially Scrum, and unit testing approaches
- Experience integrating with third-party platforms and systems
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, caching, CDNs, and persistence layers
- A background in computer science, engineering, a bootcamp, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with AJO or AEP
- Exposure to Salesforce, MuleSoft, Commerce, or similar integrated environments
- Experience working in agency or client-facing environments
- Familiarity with mentoring senior engineers and guiding technical decisions across projects
