Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team and support the design, build, and scaling of cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role is critical to ensuring our cloud platforms are secure, highly available, and scalable using modern DevOps and cloud-native practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and GitOps, along with a solid understanding of observability and CDN/WAF solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps practices

• Deploy, manage, and support applications on Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS

• Work extensively with Flux CD or similar GitOps tools

• Implement and utilize observability and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and performance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform stability, security, and automation

• Support and manage Akamai for Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) needs

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS

• Proven experience with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS preferred)

• Solid understanding and real-world use of GitOps methodologies

• Experience with Flux CD

• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Splunk Observability Cloud, Datadog, or New Relic

• Experience working with CDN and WAF solutions, preferably Akamai

• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in the travel industry

• Exposure to large-scale, high-availability cloud environments
