This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of enterprise AI adoption, with real ownership, visibility, and influence over how generative AI and Copilot transform the way employees work at scale. You will directly shape AI strategy, adoption, and value realization across a complex organization undergoing significant digital transformation.

Role Overview
  • We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead strategy, delivery, and adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-driven productivity platforms across a large enterprise environment. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle for Copilot and M365 productivity capabilities, from intake and prioritization through delivery, adoption, and continuous optimization.
  • This position plays a critical role in enabling responsible, governed use of generative AI at scale and serves as the connective tissue between IT, AI, security, data, and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive measurable productivity gains while ensuring solutions align with enterprise security, data governance, and responsible AI standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

  • Take full ownership of enterprise M365 Copilot and AI productivity platforms, serving as the primary point of accountability for strategy, backlog prioritization, and delivery
  • Define and evolve the product vision, ensuring solutions deliver clear business value and measurable productivity improvements
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise security, data governance, and responsible AI principles
  • Develop deep familiarity with organizational workflows to identify high-impact AI and automation opportunities

Requirements & Discovery

  • Partner closely with business, IT, security, data, and AI stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements
  • Conduct discovery sessions to uncover user pain points, workflow inefficiencies, and AI opportunities
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with the capabilities and constraints of Microsoft 365 Copilot and enterprise AI platforms

Backlog Management & Prioritization

  • Own and manage the Copilot and M365 implementation backlog
  • Prioritize work based on business value, user impact, risk, readiness, technical complexity, and capacity
  • Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to sequence delivery in a thoughtful, governed, and sustainable way

Roadmap & Strategy

  • Create and maintain a strategic roadmap for M365 and AI productivity solutions
  • Drive alignment with leadership on priorities, milestones, and timelines
  • Translate long-term AI strategy into actionable delivery plans
  • Stay ahead of evolving Copilot capabilities and AI trends to keep the roadmap forward-looking

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with IT infrastructure, security, legal, data, and business teams to ensure seamless integration into existing systems
  • Act as a trusted liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Coordinate with AI governance and compliance partners to meet enterprise standards

Quality Assurance & Metrics

  • Define success metrics and acceptance criteria for AI-powered features (e.g., productivity gains, accuracy, user satisfaction)
  • Support UAT planning, testing, validation, and feedback capture
  • Ensure AI outputs are reliable, secure, and aligned to business intent before release

Change Management & Adoption

  • Support and coordinate enterprise rollout of new AI-powered features
  • Partner with change management, training, and digital experience teams to drive adoption
  • Develop enablement materials such as quick guides, prompt libraries, tutorials, and best practices
  • Facilitate hands-on enablement sessions, office hours, and enterprise "Promptathons"
  • Share reusable patterns and success stories to scale AI value across the organization

Platform Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor Copilot usage, performance, and adoption metrics
  • Leverage analytics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Propose and deliver enhancements, new features, and optimizations as needs evolve
  • Track outcomes to demonstrate impact and inform future investments

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation platforms
  • Familiarity with OpenAI or GPT-based services
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, APIs, and automation frameworks
  • Experience in identity and access management or enterprise security concepts
  • AI/ML or Agile certifications
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner in an Agile environment
  • Hands-on experience implementing and enabling Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar enterprise AI productivity platforms
  • Deep familiarity with M365 collaboration tools (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and real-world productivity workflows
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions and user stories
  • Experience prioritizing backlogs based on value, risk, readiness, and user impact
  • Solid understanding of AI governance, security standards, and responsible AI practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
