Position : Senior Windchill Technical Architect
Location : Remote

Responsibilities

Decision-making is focused on implementing practical, timely solutions. A Technical Architect with Windchill upgrade experience is needed for a Windchill+ implementation. The role requires PTC Windchill+ guardrails expertise, CCD skills, team management, PTC SO&S coordination for MAG environments, and solution documentation.
You will lead one or more Windchill+ Conversions from out-of-date Windchill Servers. Migration of work streams and the corresponding Services from existing Windchill servers to MAG Windchill+ Servers.
You will monitor and facilitate activities for Windchill MAG Conversion projects.
You will work on activities and assignments for Windchill Conversion and provide expertise and assistance to the projects for the resolution of issues and execution of processes.
You will lead the analysis, design, implementation, validation, and/or deployment of the Windchill Conversion, leveraging best practices.
You will follow quality processes for tasks with appropriate reviews.
You will participate in sharing knowledge within the team.
You will plan Windchill conversion work streams and assign tasks to project members.
You will review work stream deliverables to ensure that they are accurate and meet the defined quality.
You will collaborate with the Program/Project Manager and provide reports about the work stream(s).
You will represent teams in project governance activities: Provide risk assessment information and recommendations.
Knowledge and Abilities
Understanding of Windchill Architecture, database, data management, and infrastructure capabilities and constraints. Understanding database administration, database design, and performance tuning.
Upgrade and Architecture: Design Windchill upgrade strategies and technical architecture following Windchill+ guardrails and CCD skills.
Team Management: Guide software developers and review technical work.
Coordination: Work with the PTC SaaS/SO&S team regarding Windchill+ MAG (Multi-Tenant/Cloud) environments.
Strong Windchill Implementation experience.
Requirements gathering with the Customer for Windchill Implementation & Conversion projects.
The ability to visualize complex issues & build that vision in the minds of a varied community of stakeholders.
The ability to communicate across communities, articulating value at both a high level & detailed level simultaneously.
The ability to understand requirements and boundaries, guiding a diverse community of stakeholders toward a sound, achievable solution.
The ability to balance both Analytic & Creative problem solving.
Knowledge of quality processes and their implementation.
Provides input into the future software functionality, implementation methodology, and customization standards.
Knowledge of Java programming is an added advantage.
Strong debugging skills
Good communication skills
Documentation: Create clear solution documents for the project
Must Have Skills
5-10+ years experience in Windchill Implementation Projects with Strong PLM Domain knowledge, including 3-5+ years leading Conversion or Upgrade workstreams.
Strong PTC Windchill upgrade architecture experience.
Knowledge of Windchill+ guardrails and CCD principles.
Experience managing technical teams, including assigning project tasks.
Have executed at least 3-5 upgrades & implementation projects as a Solution Architect
Strong Windchill Knowledge & good understanding of Windchill architecture, Data Model, database, data mapping, and framework design.
Review teamwork work products to ensure that they are accurate, consistent, and meet the
client s requirements.
