We're looking for a Cable Technician who has experience with CAT5/CAT6 installations and wants to expand their skills in networking, IP cameras, access control systems, and technology infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, likes solving technical problems, and wants to grow into a more advanced technology role.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support technology projects across multiple facilities, helping maintain and improve critical network, security, and communication systems.
Responsibilities include:
Pulling, patching, terminating, and testing CAT5/CAT6 cabling
Troubleshooting connectivity and network cabling issues
Working within network closets and following cable layouts and drawings
Tracing and identifying cables using testing and toning equipment
Supporting installation and maintenance of IP camera systems
Assisting with access control system installations and repairs
Performing preventative maintenance on technology infrastructure
Supporting basic network troubleshooting and device connectivity
Using laptops and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues

Required Experience

• Experience pulling, patching, terminating, and testing CAT5/CAT6
• Ability to troubleshoot structured cabling issues
• Experience working in network closets and following cable documentation
• Comfortable using computers and basic networking tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Bonus Experience

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

• Access Control Systems
• CCTV / IP Cameras
• Network Switches
• Command Prompt
• Device Connectivity Troubleshooting
• Low Voltage Systems
• Basic Networking Concepts
• IoT Devices

Don't have security or camera experience? That's okay. Training is available for candidates with strong cabling experience and a willingness to learn.

This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $30.00/hr.
