Role Summary & Project Context

·        Project Scope: Building a Proof of Concept (POC) application integrating directly with Microsoft Outlook and Teams. The application will surface a prioritized list of compliance/security items that require human review.

·        Core Focus: This is not a high-level governance or advisory role. The team needs a practitioner whose primary career focus has been hands-on Microsoft Purview implementation, policy configuration, and AI integration.

·        Dedicated Microsoft Purview Expertise: Must have a career history built around Purview—not just a surface-level or theoretical understanding.

·        Purview Configurations & Native AI: Hands-on experience configuring Purview policies and integrating native AI/Security Copilot.

·        Coding Capabilities: Proficiency in software development to build custom integrations and application logic.

·        Data Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of data architectures, file systems, and pulling in third-party data sources.

·        Practical AI & Ecosystem Integrations: Hands-on execution connecting Purview with broader enterprise tools (M365, Outlook, Teams, custom APIs).

Technical Stack & Sourcing Guidelines

1. Cloud & Data Engineering Context

·        Primary Cloud: AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift), dependent on how it connects into the Purview infrastructure.

·        ETL & Data Sources: Focus is on understanding how to pull data from external/third-party data sources and ingest it into Purview.

2. Development Stack & Coding Balance

·        Primary Languages: Python and JavaScript (supplemented by TypeScript).

·        Day-to-Day Distribution: Language usage varies based on third-party vendor integration requirements.

·        Configure Microsoft Purview policies and security settings.

·        Utilize Microsoft Native Connectors and Security Copilot.
