System Software Programmer

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a System Software Programmer to support application and data migration at a large agency in SC. This role focuses on software development, data migration, while collaborating across technical and business teams and mentoring junior staff.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance agency software applications

• Lead and support application and data migration efforts

• Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and service desk tickets

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements

• Develop and execute software test cases

• Maintain system documentation, including disaster and recovery plans

• Ensure compliance with software security standards and best practices

• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews

Required Experience

• Experience on government IT projects as a software developer or engineer

• Experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures

• Working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSS

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Preferred Experience

• SDWIS, WQX, SWIFT, and DW-SFTIES

• Apache Tomcat and Java

• Experience working with or supporting the EPA

• Service/help desk ticketing platforms and Microsoft Office

• Technical leadership or team coordination experience
