RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join a collaborative team developing innovative communications products. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of modern software solutions while working across the full software development lifecycle.
Summary:
As a Java Software Engineer, you will design and develop services and applications that support the management and operation of communications systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable software solutions and help deliver new capabilities from concept through deployment.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications using modern backend and frontend technologies
* Build and support services that enable the management and operation of communcaations products
* Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial design and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and release new features and capabilities
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
* Experience developing web-based applications using Java
* Knowledge of REST APIs and web services
* Experience working with database technologies
* Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React.js preferred)
* Experience working in a Linux development environment
* Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
