About the Role
NextPoint Advisory is seeking a highly capable Azure Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise
engagement focused on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), cloud infrastructure, and end-user
computing.
This role is hands-on and execution-focused, working closely with architects and senior engineers
to deploy, configure, and optimize AVD environments in a complex healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
- Build and manage gold images, host pools, and session hosts
- Implement and support FSLogix profiles
- Configure and manage Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, connectivity)
- Support identity integration (Azure AD / Entra ID, Conditional Access)
- Work with Intune / Endpoint Manager for device and policy management
- Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AVD environments
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on design implementation
- Document configurations, processes, and operational procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in cloud / infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar VDI solutions
- Experience with FSLogix, Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals in Azure
- Experience with PowerShell scripting is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Experience in healthcare environments (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Microsoft best practices and cloud adoption frameworks
- Exposure to automation (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) is a plus
