Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Job Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN]
Department: Radiology / Imaging Services
Reports To: Imaging Manager / Radiology Supervisor


Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Matthews, North Carolina. The MRI Technologist will perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to perform a variety of scans in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols

  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety

  • Position patients correctly and use safety measures to prevent injury or discomfort

  • Monitor patients during scanning and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or emergencies

  • Ensure high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in PACS and EMR systems

  • Follow all safety regulations, including MRI safety protocols and infection control procedures

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting

  • Participate in equipment maintenance and quality control procedures


Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited MRI program

  • ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent required

  • Current BLS certification required

  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety and procedures

  • Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Prior MRI experience preferred but new graduates may be considered
