Role: SAP Middleware Specialist / Integration Architect (SAP BTP with AS2 experience)
Location : Pittsburg, PA- Hybrid (3 days in office every week).

Cleint is looking for an experienced Middleware specialist with in-depth knowledge of SAP BTP solutions as well as AS2 protocols, proficient in managing and implementing secure data exchange between trading partners using industry standard EDI tools and platforms, adept at troubleshooting connectivity issues and ensuring smooth B2B integration.
The Individual will be responsible for self-contained execution of complex tasks within an IT service (e.g. application services, platform hosting) within a certain framework.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for complex tasks dealing with support and enhancements of the IT infrastructure and applications that address electronic interfaces between our systems and to and from third party solutions including cloud services.
- The technical scope includes multiple technologies and interface protocols including AS2, SAP BTP/PO and CPI, sFTP, and EDI and yet to be define future technologies. The role includes the architect function of bringing modern best practice solutions to the landscape.
- Troubleshot and resolved EDI communication errors, including AS2 protocol issues, certificate validation failures, and data mapping discrepancies.
- Configure trading partner profiles, including AS2 security settings and communication parameters.
- Take on full responsibility for the design, implementation, and operation of new and existing integration solutions based on the SAP Business Technology Platform Integration Suite
- Actively work on designing and configuring future-proof integration architectures and evaluate the possibilities of SAP BTP-IS and AWS
- Provide qualified support to application teams with integration-specific challenges and ensure compliance with operational guidelines and standards
- Maintain existing legacy integrations based on SAP Process Orchestration in collaboration with internal and external colleagues
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on integration solutions and ensure their smooth implementation
- Consults on alternatives and designs the architecture for system integrations.

Work Relations:
Working relationships are important in the position and require in-depth business process understanding of many business functions (including Accounting, Finance, Procurement. Order Management, Logistics, Supply Chain and HR). In addition to business interaction this position requires coordination with and interaction with many technical disciplines and many application and infrastructure technology areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a closely related field and at least eight years of related experience or a master's degree in business administration, information technology or a closely related field and at least five years of related experience
- Knowledgeable of the latest technologies and deep understanding of security and integration with firewalls, proxies, gateways and encryption necessary to provide secure and trusted interfaces
- Successfully implemented and maintained AS2 connections with multiple trading partners, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
- Solid knowledge and several years of professional experience in the SAP integration environment, especially with SAP PO, CPI, and the SAP BTP Integration Suite, as well as experience in B2B integrations
- Expertise in common interface technologies such as OData, REST, SOAP, XML, XSLT, and JMS as well as mapping implementations, iFlow design, and Java/Groovy scripts
- Ideally, experience with hyperscalers, preferably AWS, and understanding of the architectural concepts of cloud-based integrations
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work in complex environments
- Ability to build effective teams from multiple technologies and often including external partners and coordination and integration with third parties (both in business and technical roles) necessary to lead medium to large projects
- Ability to building trusting relationships with our business partners and providing global, stable, reliable, secure mission critical solutions
