We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to contribute to an enterprise forecasting platform supporting long-term financial projections, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Refactor and modernize existing financial accounting and forecasting application components.
Develop and enhance core forecasting engine features to improve accuracy, performance, scalability, and runtime efficiency.
Support critical quarterly production runs for financial reporting.
Monitor production execution, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data/output integrity and accuracy.
Diagnose and resolve software defects and reduce technical debt.
Develop clean, robust, high-quality code following software engineering best practices.
Implement automated unit and integration testing with strong test coverage.
Collaborate across data, services, APIs, and infrastructure layers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to implement new forecasting capabilities and scenario analysis.
Support evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Assist with infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations, and adoption of new technologies.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Work effectively in an Agile development environment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, establish priorities, and drive delivery.
Required Qualifications :
4+ years of hands-on software development experience using a modern programming language such as:
Python
Java
C#
Experience with Git and team-based source control.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
Proficiency with Shell scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Experience with unit testing frameworks, such as Pytest or JUnit.
Experience implementing automated test coverage.
Understanding of fixed income concepts, including:
Duration
Convexity
Spread
Option-Adjusted Spread (OAS)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Business acumen and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications :
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting fundamentals, including revenue/expense recognition and amortization.
CFA, FRM, CPA, or significant progress toward these certifications.
Experience working with financial applications, forecasting, or risk-related systems.
Experience engaging with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align priorities.
Experience with product/project management tools such as JIRA.
Strong ability to communicate technical and business concepts clearly.
