Position: Senior Salesforce Engineer

Duration: 6+ months Contract

Description:

As a Salesforce Developer Contractor, you will be responsible for developing and customizing Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements and improve system functionality. Developing and customizing Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components. Integrating Salesforce with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality. Creating and maintaining technical documentation for Salesforce solutions, including code comments and design documents. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations. Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.

Key Expectations:

• 8+ years of Salesforce platform experience.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce engineering experience across Apex, LWC, Flows, APIs, platform events, asynchronous processing, and enterprise integrations.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce platform internals including governor limits, transaction management, security/sharing model, performance optimization, and large-scale data handling.
• Ability to independently drive solution design discussions and make sound tradeoff decisions between declarative features and custom engineering solutions.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, and external platforms.
• Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support skills in complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to critically analyze requirements, identify design gaps early, and challenge incomplete or non-scalable solutions.
• Strong code review discipline, engineering standards mindset, and focus on resiliency, quality, and operational excellence.

Modern Salesforce Experience Preferred:

• Salesforce Data Cloud
• Agent force / Einstein AI capabilities
• CRM Analytics / AI-driven workflows
• Experience enabling unified customer profiles, identity resolution, and AI-ready data models
• Exposure to event-driven and near real-time architectures
• Familiarity with Hyperforce considerations and enterprise platform modernization initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certifications
• Experience in large enterprise or highly regulated environments
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working with globally distributed teams

• Admin-heavy profiles with limited engineering depth
• Engineers focused only on configuration/ticket execution
• Profiles lacking strong API, architecture, and platform fundamentals
• Tech leads/Profiles lacking current and relevant hands-on experience
