Role: Ariba Lead Sourcing


Role Descriptions:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Functional Lead Upstream to lead the onsite delivery of SAP Ariba Upstream solutions| including Sourcing| Contracts| and Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP).
The role requires strong functional ownership| clientfacing leadership| and the ability to drive solution design| delivery governance| and stakeholder alignment for largescale procurement transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership
Client Engagement (Onsite)Act as the onsite functional lead for SAP Ariba Upstream modules
Own endtoend functional solutioning for Sourcing| Contracts| and SLPLead requirement workshops| solution walkthroughs| and design discussions
Serve as the primary point of contact for client procurement and IT stakeholders
Translate business objectives into scalable Ariba Upstream solutions
Drive decisionmaking| issue resolution| and functional governance
SAP Ariba Upstream Solution DeliveryLead implementation and configuration of Ariba Sourcing (RFx| Auctions| Awarding| Templates)Ariba Contracts (authoring| clause library| compliance| approvals)Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP) (onboarding| qualification| performance)
Support Direct and Indirect sourcing use cases
Design and configure Approval workflowsTemplates| conditions| scoring| and compliance rules
Enable sourcing to contract handoff and supplier collaboration
Define best practices for upstream process standardization

Integration Architecture

Lead integration withSAP S4HANA or ECCAriba Buying Invoicing Ariba Network
Work closely with technical teams on CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway)
Ensure alignment with central procurement P2P architecture
Validate master data and transactional integration scenariosTesting| GoLive

Ensure solution readiness| data validation| and business signoff
Provide post golive support and functional stabilization

Team Delivery / Governance
Guide offshore functional teams and review configurations
Ensure adherence to SAP Activate Agile delivery methodology
Create and review Functional Design Documents (FDD)Configuration workbooks Test scenarios and training materials
Support change requests and continuous improvement initiatives


Must Have Skills:

· The SAP Ariba Architect will serve as the overall solution and integration architect for SAP Ariba Sourcing within a complex enterprise landscape. This role owns end-to-end Ariba solution design, ensures alignment with custom SAP BTP applications, and acts as the primary architecture counterpart to customer Enterprise Architecture, Security (SSR), and Procurement leadership teams.
· This is a hands-on architecture role, not a coordination-only position.
· Own end-to-end SAP Ariba Sourcing architecture covering:
a. Direct sourcing
b. Indirect sourcing
c. Project/NPI-based sourcing · Define how Ariba is used strictly for supplier engagement and execution.
