Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite, No Remote)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect/Senior Developer to lead and support enterprise Business Intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will help drive new BI implementations, enhance existing production reports, and provide guidance and solutions for complex reporting challenges. This role requires strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, along with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable and immersive BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead and support new Power BI and Microsoft Fabric implementations.

·        Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.

·        Make enhancements and updates to production reports and BI solutions.

·        Troubleshoot reporting challenges and provide effective solutions based on experience and best practices.

·        Gather business requirements and translate them into impactful and user-friendly BI experiences.

·        Understand and contribute to the target-state BI architecture and deliver components incrementally.

·        Manage data access, connections, security models, and report governance.

·        Guide, mentor, and upskill existing BI developers and validate deliverables.

·        Establish and implement best practices for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI deployments.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful BI solution delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

·        8–10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Power BI development.

·        Strong hands-on experience with:

o   Microsoft Power BI (Desktop and Service)

o   Microsoft Fabric (Mandatory)

o   DAX and Power Query (M)

o   Data Modeling Concepts

o   Data Warehousing (Fact/Dimension Models, Star Schema)

o   ETL/ELT Processes

o   APIs and Data Integration Tools

·        Experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud data platforms (preferred).

·        Strong understanding of data security, access controls, and report governance.

·        Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into BI solutions.

·        Proven ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and oversee project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience designing enterprise-scale BI architectures.

·        Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI implementation best practices.

·        Ability to guide organizations through BI modernization and reporting transformation initiatives.
