Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java MCP Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jacksonville, FL or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a highly motivated developer to help build the next generation of AI-enabled enterprise capabilities using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This role will focus on developing secure, scalable, and production-ready MCP Servers that expose enterprise business capabilities, APIs, and data services to AI agents and intelligent automation platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, OpenShift, and API Integration to connect enterprise systems with modern AI platforms.
Responsibilities: - Help build the next generation of AI-enabled enterprise capabilities using the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Develop secure, scalable, and production-ready MCP Servers
- Expose enterprise business capabilities, APIs, and data services to AI agents, copilots, and intelligent automation platforms
- Build reusable MCP services that connect enterprise systems with modern AI platforms
Requirements: Core Java Engineering - 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java 17+ (Java 21 preferred)
- Spring Boot
- REST API development
- Microservices architecture
- Maven/Gradle
- JUnit/Mockito
- JSON/XML processing
MCP & AI Enablement - Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts: MCP Servers, MCP Clients, Tools, Resources, Prompts, Tool discovery and invocation
- Experience designing API-based integrations for AI or agent-driven solutions
- Familiarity with AI Agent architectures and LLM integrations
OpenShift & Cloud-Native Development - Experience deploying and supporting applications on OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of Containers (Docker), Deployments, Services, Routes/Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Autoscaling, Health checks
Enterprise Integration - Experience integrating with REST APIs, SOAP Services, Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and Event-driven platforms (Kafka, MQ)
Desired skills: - Experience with MCP Java SDK or Spring AI
- Experience building AI Agent integrations
- Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and Neo4j
- Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, or enterprise event-driven platforms
- Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Copilot ecosystems, or Generative AI frameworks
- Wealth Management, Banking, Client Onboarding, AML/KYC, or Financial Services domain experience
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
