SQL Database Administrator (DBA)Direct Hire Irving, TX Onsite Responsibilities:- Partner with developers to improve data access performance by refining Entity Framework queries and optimizing request workflows.
- Continuously evaluate MS SQL and COSMOS DB environments and apply tuning strategies to maintain performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Design and implement indexes, stored procedures, and database views to improve responsiveness and system efficiency.
- Support Azure data replication processes to ensure reporting accuracy, redundancy, and high availability across environments.
- Maintain Azure Data Factory workflows and Power BI integrations to deliver consistent and reliable analytics reporting.
- Review and enhance Microsoft data architecture to support growth, resilience, and long-term performance improvements.
- Stay current with advancements in cloud platforms, AI, IoT, and modern data technologies to strengthen the organization s data ecosystem.
Requirements:Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of database administration experience, including at least 2 years working in Microsoft Azure environments
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and database administration best practices
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, COSMOS DB, and Azure Data Factory
- Proven ability to monitor and optimize database performance, including indexing and stored procedure tuning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system performance and efficiency
- Experience with data tools such as SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, DAX, and Azure Synapse
- Exposure to scripting or programming languages such as Python, R, or PowerShell
- Experience working in .NET/C# environments
- Cloud migration project experience
- Exposure to Azure Machine Learning
- Familiarity with distributed systems (e.g., Hadoop)
