Summary

Requirements
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a dedicated security operations center (SOC).
  • Proficiency in real-time security alert monitoring and initial incident triage.
  • Experience with SIEM platform monitoring and interpreting complex technical event logs.
  • Experience in identifying and distinguishing genuine security incidents from false positives.
  • Experience with structured incident escalation procedures and executing standard playbooks.
  • Experience in shift-based operations supporting 24/7 mission-essential network monitoring.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 
Responsibilities
  • Monitor security event queues and mission-essential information systems on a 24/7 rotating schedule.
  • Classify, prioritize, and escalate active alerts to guarantee rapid security incident resolution.
  • Capture and log incoming security events received from email, chat, and telecommunication systems.
  • Analyze security datasets to accurately isolate valid threats and minimize false-positive incidents.
  • Assist with containment, mitigation, and resolution efforts during active network security events.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to build, refine, and update automated security playbooks.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to communicate incident severity and outline recommended response actions.
