Join us as a
Field Engineer Internfor our
California Buildings district, within our
US Buildings sector for
4 or 8 months starting summer 2027 Depending on your assigned project as a
Field Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities- Assists Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents
- Conducts safety audits and quality audits
- Reads and understand drawings and specifications
- Logs submittals, process RFI's and prepare reports
- Assists with surveying and project layout
- Maintains and update field drawings, field equipment and records
- Assists with coordinating subcontractors, vendors and field staff
- Coordinates material deliveries and documentation
- Attends relevant project meetings
- Prepares memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms and documents
- Assists with project documentation requirements
- Assists with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications- Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.
- A desire to pursue a career as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver's License
- Willing to work and live in the Southern California area
- Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations
- Must be able to navigate through a construction site on a daily basis, climb ladders and stairs
- Must be able to work around and near heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party

The estimated hourly rate for this role is
$22.00, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
