Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong Python programming skills, experience building backend systems and REST APIs, and the ability to work with databases and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code following development best practices.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to manage and optimize data.

• Troubleshoot issues, debug applications, and improve system performance.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders.

• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and application deployment activities.

• Follow secure coding practices and contribute to continuous improvement of backend systems.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python backend development.

• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.

• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

• Experience working with SQL and databases.

• Familiarity with Git, debugging, testing, and code review processes.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Experience with microservices architecture and Docker.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be available to work in Jersey City, NJ, or Charlotte, NC, as required by the client.

• Must be eligible for W2 employment at the stated rate.
