Job Title: System Analyst

Location:  Plantation, FL - Hybrid

Position: Contract Position 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (e.g. Waterfall and Lean Agile), for designing , testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software and interfaces delivered as a part of support or projects. Design and develop functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation, support and system enhancements. Technical Consulting is a part of day to day operations and relies on various programming techniques and solutions. Provides solution design and product evaluations along with buy vs. build recommendations. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements. Responsible for selecting appropriate C.A.S.E. tools to develop systems and software. This role will primarily provide day to day maintenance and support of existing software solutions and interfaces along with new projects.

The Systems Analyst must have a strong IT and technical background with desired transit experience and knowledge of transit technologies. It is preferred that the Systems Analyst is able to provide or possess the following:

·       Strong technical and analytical skills to facilitate in the design, coding, and testing of software solutions and integration projects.

·       Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience in an Application Development environment.

·       Requires 1 to 3 years of systems analysis/programming experience.

·       Develops systems solutions from analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a project team member or sometimes as a project lead.

·       Programming Experience is required with SQL, C++, .Net, or Jav.

·       Experience working with SQL and/or Oracle Databases.

·       Proficient with using MS XP. Windows 7 and MS Office Suite.

·       Advance experience in Designing, Unit Testing, and implementing software development solutions.

·       Knowledge of complex Object-Oriented Methodologies and Client Server System architectures.

·       Advanced experience in troubleshooting and debugging.

·       Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.

·       Knowledge of and the ability to integrate enterprise level commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) application software products into existing or new software solutions.

·       Timely data entry and tracking of all work requests utilizing a ticket tracking system.

·       Knowledge of or experience working in public safety technology.
