What You'll Do:

As the Mission Systems Program Analyst, you will support the E-6B Mercury aircraft program within PMA-271 at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. This position provides technical and programmatic support for mission-critical aircraft systems that enable strategic communications and national defense operations.

In this role you will work closely with government, contractor, and fleet stakeholders to assess system performance, support modernization efforts, identify operational risks, and recommend improvements that enhance mission effectiveness and aircraft readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate operational plans, system performance data, and mission activities to identify deficiencies, risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement affecting E-6B mission capability and readiness.
  • Analyze technical and operational information and recommend corrective actions to improve flight performance, mission effectiveness, system reliability, safety, and combat readiness.
  • Support the execution and tracking of system modernization initiatives and upgrades to ensure E-6B mission systems remain current and operationally effective.
  • Collaborate with engineering, logistics, test, fleet, and program office personnel to identify and develop improvements for mission-critical aircraft systems.
  • Provide programmatic and technical support for E-6B Very Low Frequency (VLF) communications system efforts.
  • Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, technical interchange meetings, working groups, conferences, and teleconferences.
  • Assist with the identification, documentation, and resolution of technical, operational, and programmatic issues impacting system performance.
  • Prepare briefings, status reports, meeting materials, action item tracking, and technical documentation supporting program objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison among stakeholders to facilitate communication, coordination, and successful execution of program activities.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:
  • Associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition, aviation, communications, mission systems, test and evaluation, systems integration, or operational programs.
  • Ability to analyze technical information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience participating in technical meetings, reviews, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Experience supporting NAVAIR, PMA-271, or strategic communications aircraft programs.
  • Knowledge of E-6B aircraft systems and mission operations.
  • Familiarity with VLF communications systems or airborne communications architectures.
  • Military aviation, aircrew, maintenance, or operational experience.
  • Experience supporting Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) and DoD acquisition processes.

Security Clearance Requirement:
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:
  • The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000, commensurate with an individual's experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
