At Lockheed Martin, our Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) National Team (C2NT) is pioneering the development and integration of cutting-edge technologies to advance the Missile Defense System, safeguarding the United States and its allies. The Work
We are seeking a early career Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable DevOps solutions and CI/CD pipelines that support efficient software delivery. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, reliability, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain complex software applications in languages such as Python, Java, Bash, and Powershell.
- Implement solutions for an enterprise-scale network, including building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Software-defined Networking (SDN) solutions to optimize network management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all software, including CI/CD pipelines, architecture, configuration, and tooling guides.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts and services using Python or Java to improve DevOps workflows
- The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Any other required tasks by the program

Basic Qualifications

Must have an 8140 Compliant Certification such as: Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires ship.
Must maintain a valid US passport.
Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.
Experience coding in various programming languages, including Python and Java, as well as scripting languages such as Bash and Powershell.
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, API integration (particularly the REST API), and Git version control.
Ability to script and test automation of software tools.

Desired skills

Active Top Secret Security Clearance is a plus
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and basic orchestration concepts
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated engineers as well as independently at times on large field projects.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500 - $134,895. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $88,000 - $152,490. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
